Customer Entitlements

Customer-level entitlements grant features or usage rights directly to a customer, independent of their subscription. These are typically linked to one-time purchases or charges rather than recurring subscription plans.

When to Use Customer Entitlements

Customer entitlements are useful when you need to grant access to features outside the subscription model:

  • One-time purchases — A gaming company granting access to a purchased item (coins, weapons, level upgrades).
  • Lifetime deals — A customer buys permanent access to a feature, unlinked from any plan.
  • Promotional grants — Granting bonus capacity or features as part of a marketing campaign.

Adding a Charge via Customer Entitlements

  1. Navigate to Customers and select the customer.
  2. On the customer detail page, click Add Charge.
  3. Select the charge from the catalog.
  4. Configure charge details (quantity, amount, etc.).
  5. Click Add.

The charge and its associated features appear on the customer’s Entitlements Card under the Non-subscription tab.

Viewing Customer Entitlements

Customer entitlements can be viewed in two modes:

ViewDescription
CombinedShows all entitlements from both subscriptions and non-subscription sources in a single list.
SplitSeparates subscription entitlements from non-subscription (customer-level) entitlements into distinct tabs.
