How It’s Used

When creating or editing a Rate Plan Price, you can check the “This rate plan has a trial period” checkbox and select from the opted-in trial periods. During the trial:

  • The customer is not charged (or charged a reduced amount, depending on configuration).
  • After the trial expires, regular billing begins at the rate plan price.
  • The trial period is displayed as a badge on the product details page (e.g., “14 Days Trial”).

Best Practices

  • Keep trial periods standardized across products for a consistent customer experience.
  • Use the Require Billing at Signup setting on the rate plan price to control whether payment details are collected during the trial.
  • Monitor trial-to-paid conversion rates in the Analytics dashboard.
