Addons

An Addon is an optional, supplementary feature or service that can be added on top of a rate plan. Addons allow you to offer modular extras — like premium support, additional storage, or advanced analytics — that customers can subscribe to alongside their base plan.

Addon vs Charge

ConceptBilling DimensionExample
AddonCurrency + billing frequency (recurring)“Premium Support — $49/month”
ChargeCurrency only (one-time)“Setup Fee — $199”

Addons are recurring and tied to a billing frequency; charges are one-time fees with no billing cycle.

Linking Addons to Rate Plans
